Wat to break free from your 9 to 5 grind? Start building profitable micro-hustles

I needed hospitalization on the 5th day at my job.

Not due to anxiety or stress. I was enjoying my new job. In fact, I got carried away by the impulse to show off my capabilities and met with an accident. I was working at a high platform. Suddenly my head spun and I fell head first to the ground.

Thank God I had the safety cap on!

I can't remember what happened then. When I woke up, I had bandages all over my head. The back of my skull and neck was throbbing like mad. And, when I tried to touch my face, I felt like tens of needles were piercing my face at every touch.

It took me 20 days of rest before I recovered enough to resume work.

How I went from loving my job to creating alternative options

I truly loved my job.

It's not like I absolutely hate it now. Yet now, I'm actively trying to create a set of alternative options for myself. If you're feeling curious, I've already written why am I doing this here .

But now comes the more important question..

How am I doing it and how can you do it too?

By actively building a portfolio of profitable micro-hustles

Micro-hustles are small businesses designed to require very little active monitoring. Each hustle should generate enough revenue to replace 5-20% of my monthly paycheck. Yet, they should be small enough so that the entire operations can be run by the creator and a virtual assistant maximum.

A few words before starting

I'll be honest with you. It's not going to be easy.

You'll have to cut down or give up things like Netflix, Instagram reels, watching TV, the time you spend with family or friends etc. Even after that you'd always feel you're short on time or energy. May be both.

It's a temporary sacrifice.

Once your micro-hustles start working for you, you can claim back your time and spend the whole day doing what you want to.
